    Tips for listing your venue

Not sure what to include in your Euan’s Guide listing?

This is a simple guide to help you share clear, honest and useful information about your venue’s accessibility.
Remember: your listing does not need to be perfect – honest details matter more than polished words. The form auto-saves as you go, so you can come back to finish or update it at any time. You can download a printable venue checklist if you prefer to see the questions before you start the form.

    1. Start with the basics

Begin with your venue name, a short description of what you offer and the type of place you are – for example, café, museum, hotel or theatre. This helps people quickly understand what to expect.

    2. Add photos, video or audio

Photos bring your venue to life and help people picture their visit. Include shots of useful accessible features such as entrances, step-free routes, toilets and parking, as well as general venue images. You can upload up to 20 photos, videos or audio clips – at least two photos to go alongside your main photo make your listing much more useful. You can also add video or audio to show how visitors get into and around your venue.

    3. Share access details

These are the main sections we ask venues to complete. Each answer helps our community decide if your venue is right for them.

    Disabled access
Describe how visitors get in and move around your venue. Include whether your venue is on one level, has step-free routes or uses lifts.

    Parking
Include details about accessible parking spaces on or off site, drop-off points and electric vehicle charging.

    Transport
Explain how visitors can reach you by public transport and add details about any accessible options nearby.

    Accessible toilets
This is one of the most important considerations for our community. Let people know if you have an accessible toilet, including a Changing Places toilet if available. Photos are especially helpful as they give visitors confidence to plan a trip.

    Overnight accommodation
This is one of the most searched-for features by our visitors. If you have accessible rooms, please highlight them clearly. Wet rooms and hoists are especially hard to find, so do shout about them if you have them.

    Accessible formats
Let people know if you provide information in alternative formats such as Braille, Easy Read or large print.

    Accessible services
Share any other services that could support disabled visitors. This might include companion or carer discounts, online booking for accessible tickets, tramper hire or dedicated access phone lines.

    Additional information
Add any other useful details. For example, a link to access information on your website or an access statement that visitors can download.

    4. Add contact details and submit

Include public contact information for your venue and private contact information for yourself. When you are ready, hit submit.

    5. We will let you know when it is live

Once approved, we will notify you when your listing is published.

    6. Shout about it!

Share your listing so more people can find you. And remember, you can return to your profile at any time to make changes or updates.
