    At Euan’s Guide, we are committed to making our website as inclusive as possible and that includes providing support for British Sign Language (BSL) users. Accessibility is not just about meeting standards, it is about creating a space that works for everyone.

    How BSL users can use Euan’s Guide

    We have partnered with Signly, a multi-award-winning service that provides in-vision sign language to make our website more accessible. Here is how it works:

    Signly Widget: look for the Signly icon (two hands) at the bottom right corner of your screen. Clicking this icon will provide sign language translations for the page you are viewing.

    Whether you are planning a visit or exploring somewhere new, Signly helps you understand important details so you can make informed decisions.

    Sharing your experiences

    We believe that your experiences matter and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to share them in a way that works best for you. That is why we welcome video reviews in British Sign Language (BSL).

    It is a great way to express what the access was like and it helps others know what to expect when they visit.

    Here are some things you might want to include in your BSL video review:

    • Getting there: How did you travel? Was parking available? Was public transport accessible?
    • Getting in and around: How easy was the entry? Were there steps, lifts, ramps or automatic doors?
    • Was the signage clear? Were there accessible formats like BSL, Braille, large print or Easy Read?
    • Accessible loos: If there was an accessible toilet, was it easy to find? Was there a Changing Places toilet? Was there enough space to manoeuvre and for a carer? Was it clean?
    • Staff and service: Was anyone particularly helpful? How did they make your visit better?

    To make your review more helpful, you may wish to include the following:

    • what you wish you knew before visiting
    • if you would recommend it to others
    • if you would go back
    • any improvements the venue could make
