Browsing the Festival crowds on the Royal Mile I heard one of those performances where the sound simply draws you in to explore further.
Disabled Access In and Around

The Square is small and the space is divided into several distinct areas. On entering the Square there's a large fast food area where you can get a burger. Next along I found the source of the cheering and clapping as there's an area marked out where Festival performers give their all to the audience. It has steps and slopes on two side but one side (near the main buildings) is accessible but narrow and you can then use the ramp in the pavement to drop to a lower section where it's safe to sit and watch the "shows". It is very busy around here you so may need to "encourage" people to move.

Access to the Square is very pedestrian orientated. It's a short distance, a few metres, from the Royal Mile.
Accessible Toilets
0There are standard public toilets in the Square but these are down steps. The nearest accessible loos may be some distance unless you use one of the nearby cafes such as Starbucks.
Additional Information
Hunter Square is at the rear of the Tron which is another building used as a temporary venue; unfortunately not wheelchair accessible. A great place to soak up the Festival atmosphere and see some great street entertainment.
