Venue Description

Junction, in Goole, East Yorkshire is a multi-award winning venue with a busy programme of live events, cinema and activities for all ages. We take pride in our efforts to offer top quality art for everyone, from family film to comedy to classic and contemporary theatre.

Accessibility

There is a ramp from street level to the walkway at the front of the building & a fully level ground floor. We have a lift up to the balcony and community room, with accessible toilets on both levels. The auditorium features space for wheelchair users, both on the front row and on the balcony. Please note that level access is only available to certain seats. An induction loop is fitted in the auditorium and other rooms. People with a disability can may claim a concession and a carer is entitled to a free ticket.

Accessible Performances

We provide wheel chair access in our auditorium, both on the front row and on the balcony and offer audio description for all cinema and satellite screenings. We also offer Autism Friendly screenings which provide a relaxed screening with reduced sound levels, increased lighting and advert-free content.

Awards List

We have recieved 6 architectural awards for the design of the building, including the RICS Community Benefit Award. We are a breast feeding friendly venue and are signed up to the Family Arts Standards.

Toilets

There are 2 accessible toilets in the venue, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. These have grab rails installed and can accommodate manual or electric wheelchairs.
