Brought to the West End by Academy Award-nominated director Julie Taymor, The Lion King, winner of 6 Tony Awards when it premiered on Broadway in 1997, is a powerful and enchanting show inspired by the prominent film. Because of this, ATG have taken the opportunity to make the show accessible for everyone, by prioritising The Lion King Relaxed Performance.
This inclusive iteration of the multiple award-winning musical is exactly the same type of performance as usual. Only this time, the auditorium has more of a laid-back environment to cater for those with different needs, including autism, learning disabilities and sensory issues. Throughout the show, there is additional trained staff on hand, alongside assigned quiet spaces should anyone need them.
