Booked the Assisted Travel Service through TUI as part of my booking. We’d checked in our suitcases the day before and had located the Assisted Travel (AT) desk in the Departure Lounge, ahead of our early morning flight the next morning. I travelled with my son and his girlfriend, who accompanied me through the whole AT process. The AT desk is immediately opposite the entrance to security. Everyone was helpful and gave me the information we needed. We were shown through a special check-in desk to get luggage tags and an info tag put on my mobility scooter. We were then escorted through security, and again everything was explained to us as we went through. We were then free to explore the shops and food outlets before heading to the gate as soon as it was announced. Once at the gate we were asked to wait by the airbridge, and had our passports and boarding passes checked. I was then able to scoot right to the aeroplane door before leaving my scooter and boarding the plane on foot. The TA service at T2 Manchester Airport (Outbound) was a really good experience. Everyone was helpful and friendly. I have reviewed the Inbound service separately.
