A woodland and wetland nature reserve with 1.75 miles of flat, surfaced accessible paths, six bird viewing hides, with the chance to see otters, roe deer, bullfinches, kingfishers, great crested grebes and a host of other bird species. In the summer the reserve is alive with dragonflies and butterflies, in the autumn fungi burst forth. We also offer audio trails (including one designed for people with impaired vision), accessible toilets, hot drinks and confectionery and a regular programme of events and talks. Open every day except Monday (open bank holiday Mondays).

Visitor Centre all on one level, with toilets with disabled access. Six bird viewing hides all wheel chair accessible. 1.75 miles of level, surfaced accessible paths. Two electric buggies available for loan free of charge (donation appreciated). Audio trail designed specifically for visitors with impaired vision.

Step-free access. Wide doorway. Space for wheelchair and additional person. Grab rails. Low level washbasin but unmodified taps.
Staff
One reception staff member uses a wheelchair; others use mobility buggies and can advise on best use around the site. Some staff are Dementia Friends.

Assistance dog exercise facilities
Assistance dogs can be exercised and toileted in an area to the rear of the Visitor Centre by asking at reception. Otherwise dogs are not allowed off the lead on the nature reserve. Staff on reception can advise on nearby areas where dogs can run off the leash.
