A living working estate, guided by the seasons with an impressive mansion, parkland, gardens and rare breed farm.

Accessibility

An accessible route from the car park to the Walled Gardens, Farm and Stables is available along with an accessibility map. They can be collected from the Visitor Centre or downloaded from the ‘Planning your visit’ section of our website. There is level access to most of the estate (except the mansion and parkland) but please be aware that terrain types do vary. Wimpole has powered mobility scooters, wheelchairs and Mountain Trikes which are available to borrow from the Visitor Centre. To book please call: 01223 206000. The mansion is currently only accessible via a flight of 12 stone steps. A stair climber is now available between the hours of 12pm & 2pm provided it is pre-booked before your visit. To book please call: 01223 206000. Please note, the stair climber can only be used by people with the ability to transfer between chairs and will only provide access to the ground floor. An 8-seater golf-buggy or wheelchair ramp buggy, driven by volunteers is available daily between 10am - 4pm upon request to transfer visitors between the Visitor Centre, the Stables, the Hall and the gardens and farm. Toilets

Accessible toilet facilities are available at Hardwicke Gate (Visitor Centre), the Hall, Home Farm, and The Stables.

Staff

At Wimpole we have staff that are first aid trained. Those operating our stair climber have been trained to do so. All of our colleagues are happy to help if you are in need of any assistance.

Assistance dogs are welcome across the estate. We are a working farm and ask for dogs to be kept on the lead.

Other assistance dog facilities

Water bowls for dogs are available at different points across the estate. If you are unable to find one or it needs refilling, please ask a member of the team.
