Overview

We were busy doing some shows around George Square during the Edinburgh Festival and wanted to go somewhere quiet. I had noticed this place a few times before and it always looked interesting and not busy, so we did a visit and where pleasantly surprised!

Transport & Parking

There's plenty of lothian buses on Lauriston Place which is about a four minute walk away.

Access

There is an upper story which is only accessed by stairs (I think). But downstairs is large with plenty of space and different types of tables and chairs, outside seating is also available with parasols for rain protection.

Toilets

Decent access toilet and I liked the way the typical disabled toilet sign was lite up.

Staff

Very friendly and had good banter because I ordered a banana with my pint, as you do!

Anything else you wish to tell us?

We ordered some flatbreads which where huge and didn't expect them to be so nice. The selection of beers was great. I will back to give the steak and a shake £10 deal a go!
