Overview

Wheelchair accessible music venue with good accessibility including lifts, accessible toilets and free PA/companion ticket. There is also an accessible viewing platform, but I think this needs to be improved to allow wheelchair users a clearer view of the stage and more space to move around if needed.

Transport & Parking

We parked between Pitt Street and St Vincent Street, which is about a 5 min walk away. I've spotted a few disabled parking bays closer to the venue, but they've always been taken.

Access

There are steps, but there is also lifts inside. Easy access for wheelchairs. It can be very dark inside the venue so I'd recommend asking the steward escorting you if they can light up the way with their torch if they haven't already done so. Guide and hearing assistance dogs are welcome. There is a viewing platform/area which is accessible via a ramp. I've sometimes struggled to get a clear view of the stage if there have been tall people standing in-front. It would be perfect if the viewing area was a little higher. It can also be very crowded on the viewing area and I've always struggled to move my wheelchair due to the amount of people standing behind me. Going to the toilet during the show could be tricky negotiating your way through the crowd.

Toilets

There are two venues within this building. O2 ABC has an accessible toilet near the bar at the back of the room (near the viewing platform). It's ok, but can be quite dirty. There is also one at the front of the room in O2 ABC2.

Staff

All staff are usually very good and helpful. As a wheelchair user they have always escorted me through the building to the viewing platform and then the same at the end of the show. I was there last week and Ina was fantastic with us. She was extremely helpful, understanding and friendly.
