Venue Description

For nearly 50 years Oakdown Holiday Caravan Park in Devon has been carefully fashioned by the Franks Family, from the open Devonshire meadowland to its current multi award winning standard. No straight lines here, just gentle curves, spacious groves, seclusion, privacy and peace and quiet. Situated close to Sidmouth, we are the area’s only AA 5 Pennant Platinum Park, winners of GOLD in the Visit Devon Tourism Awards 2017 and also winners of GOLD in the South West Holiday Park of the Year 2018. Our Devon holiday park combines a stunning location and great accommodation range with top class facilities and an immaculate site.

Accessibility

Oakdown is totally flat on its roads, grass areas and pitches without any ramps or steps anywhere within its facilities. A small slope can be found while accessing our Amenity Buildings on the Main Park and Beech Grove. Our Golf/Café carpark is gravel. The roads also act as paths therefore are easily seen or ‘Tapped’ by the partially sighted. Speed bumps are present but a level space is provided at the end of the bumps to allow wheelchairs and mobility aids free access through the bumps. The Amenity Block contains a low level sink for dishwashing etc. with lever taps and space under the sink to allow wheelchair access. A ‘Perching Stool’ is provided to assist people to work at the sink. There is a mobility scooter for use on the site, free of charge.
