Overview

Wheelchair friendly cinema with some of the most helpful staff we have come met. Slightly unusual in that all cinemas are at basement level with access via a lift from the ground floor. Small foyer but all facilities - e.g. Wheelchair spaces, accessible toilet. The staff were incredible - opening doors, switching on house lights to allow us to find our seats while the adverts and previews were screening.

Transport & Parking

There is limited parking nearby. We drove and parked in a loading bay with blue badge access on Lothian Road. Bus stops on Lothian Road for many bus routes.

Access

Access from the street was via the 'main door' which is round the corner from Lothiam Road but has level access and an automatic door. The lift down to the cinemas is clearly indicated for disabled use. Once at cinema level, all cinemas have wheelchair access.

Toilets

Very spacious. Spotlessly clean. Grab rails. Lots of room for manual wheelchair plus carer.

Staff

Usher staff were amazing. They welcomed us warmly on arrival, pointed out the disabled toilets, put the lights up during the ads/previews while showing us to our seats, opened doors. There was one lady in particular who took time to chat. She even offered to let us watch another film when we decided to leave slightly early as we didn't like the film we had chosen!

Had previously avoided this cinema in favour of big multiplex cinemas but was so overwhelmed that I was motivated to post my first review!
