Venue Description

The Palace Theatre is a 620 seat theatre that hosts a wide variety of productions from drama to comedy, pantomime to amateur dramatic performances, music to dance and everything in between. Situated in the centre of Newark, it is well located for access by car for both the A1 and A46 and from the train for Newark Northgate and Newark Castle stations.

Accessibility

Ramped access into Box Office through a push door, wide enough for a wheelchair. From Box Office there is an open lift giving access to the foyer, the bar, auditorium & accessible toilet. There is an additional lift giving access to the first floor & Byron Room but this does not give access to the circle & there are no toilets on this level. The auditorium has space for 4 wheelchairs each with a companion seat. Many more seats are suitable for those with limited mobility. The auditorium is also fitted with an infra-red hearing loop. Accessible Performances

We host a relaxed performance of our pantomime each Christmas.

Toilets

There is one accessible toilet en route into the auditorium. It is equipped with handrails and an alarm.
