Venue Description

Penllwyn Cottages is a short walk from the Ceredigion Coast Path in Cardigan Bay. Cei Newydd cottage has been adapted for wheelchair use. Cei Newydd sleeps four people in two en-suite bedrooms. One room is a double and the second with wheelchair access and adapted bathroom can either be a twin or a super kingsize bed by means of zip and link beds. The cottage (converted from a former cow barn) is single storey with level access and hard standing parking adjacent to the property. The cottage is under a mile from the former smugglers cove of Cwmtydu , and just over three miles to the fishing village of New Quay with its shops, restaurants, pubs and boat trips to spot the dolphins in Cardigan Bay.

Accessibility

Cei Newydd Cottage is a single storey building (former cow barn) which has level access to the property. There is also level access direct from the kitchen to an external decked area in the garden. There are no stairs/ramps or slopes to or in the property. There is a main front door but also double patio doors direct to the wheelchair access bedroom and bathroom.

Toilets

The bathroom in Cei Newydd Cottage has level access , with a door wide enough for both powered and standard wheelchairs. There are grab rails fitted for its use.
