Venue Description

The Ranger Station a destination for activities, entertainment and learning for families and children from across Reading and beyond – is now open and offering exciting new activities. An indoor ‘Sky Tykes’ low ropes course for younger children aged 7 and under, who are under 122cm in height and can fit into the safety harness safely. Sky Tykes is a mini, indoor version of larger adult high ropes courses and is designed to offer a fun, safe way for younger children to get active, develop their physical confidence and coordination skills. Please note a responsible adult is required to chaperone the child around the course. Children with any additional needs that fall into the category of physical support, will need to be assessed to ensure they get the most out of the activity. Due to the physicality of the course there needs to be 'some' physical independence. We have an accessible outdoor family adventure 9-hole mini golf. Each hole sports its own unique Reading theme, featuring Reading landmarks such as Reading Abbey, the Blade, and Reading Festival. Our 9-hole mini golf is accessible for a broad range of abilities, wheelchair access and we provide specialist accessible putting equipment.

Accessibility

Main entrance to the Ranger Station is wheelchair accessible and the whole indoor area is one level and mini golf course is wheelchair accessible.

Toilets

All the indoor facilities are on one level and the doors are accessible with a wheelchair. Disabled toilet has a changing space unit which is equipped with a safety harness.
