Shakespeare's Birthplace is taking part in Disabled Access Day 2019!

The main attraction will be our guests in the Shakespeare Room at 10am and 12pm. Our guests are Charlotte Arrowsmith, the RSC's first Deaf actress, at 10am. Then we will have Angie Wootten (University of Birmingham) and Dr. Abigail Rokison-Woodall at 12pm, giving a talk on 'Teaching Shakespeare and Drama to D/deaf children'. Both will be accompanied by BSL interpreters.
For the rest of the day there will be guided tours of the Birthplace with BSL interpreters and an original display in the Marble Hall, on Shakespeare and the D/deaf community.
