St Conan's Kirk is a grade A listed church and an amazing building. It has a unique history and a very special atmosphere. It is open to visitors with entrance by donation and is a busy tourist attraction. It hosts a range of community events, musical and theatre performances and more.

Accessibility

St Conan's Kirk can be accessed though the cloisters into the Nave and South Aisle without any steps. Once inside approximately half the kirk (Apse/Chancel/Exhibition area) will be at a different level (2 steps). A portable ramp is available in the kirk. The route to the kirk entrance is normally over a gravel entrance road. The kirk is built on steeply sloping ground and access to the gardens is often by uneven paths or stone steps. Although some benches are provided in the gardens there are limited handrails at the stone steps. The kirk is normally unmanned.

Toilets

There are NO TOILETS at the Kirk. Note: The independently operated gatehouse tearoom has a single toilet for customers accessed down a single flight of stairs (the tearoom has shorteropening times from the kirk). During some events access may be available to the vestry toilet (accessed via a single step).
