Overview

The coffee shop is accessed via the New Look clothing store and a lift. Access is pretty good although anybody unable to press the lift button may have to wait a bit for assistance, however there always seems to be somebody around. There is lots of space in the lift and the coffee shop itself. I could easily turn in my powerchair between tables and in front of the counter. The decor is nice and the acoustics are really good for a coffee shop making it easy for me to chat with my P.A. All of this created a calm and inviting atmosphere. The only downside for me was the toilet and the staff, who were friendly enough but did not offer any assistance. This may have been due to their lack of experience.

Transport & Parking

4

There is disabled parking available throughout the retail park including at the door of the New Look store. It may not always be possible to park directly in front of the venue at the busier times but I've always found somewhere reasonably close and it was not a problem when I visited. The retail park is on a regular bus route from Inverness and the east coast (Culloden, Nairn etc.) and the venue is about a three minute walk.

Access

4

Access was through automatic doors taking you into New Look and then via a roomy lift to Starbucks. Plenty space throughout for manoeuvring into and around the tables; the only possible downside was the previously noted lift button.

Toilets

3.5

The corridor to the loo was nice and wide. The door to the loo could present a problem to users if unaccompanied as it was a turn handle opener. It was nice and clean inside with grab rails and a red cord but unfortunately I was unable to manoeuvre due to the size of my powerchair (or the lack of space). This may not have been a problem for smaller or manual chairs.

Staff

3

The staff were friendly and welcoming but did not offer any assistance. This may have been due to their inexperience, I did not feel that they were intentionally ignoring me.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Great place to chill out if in the area. There was a good selection of cakes, sandwiches & beverages. I would recommend the venue and plan to return.
