Overview

Not a great place for wheelchair users, all tables are in self-contained bays with two benches.

Transport & Parking

Shoreditch London-Overground station is reasonably nearby and is fully step-free. Liverpool Street Station is also nearby but the tube parts of it are hardly step-free at all. Lots of buses serve Bishopsgate, which is likewise nearby.

Access

There is step-free access into the restaurant and enough space to move around. But if you don't transfer from your wheelchair you will have to sit at the end of the table, outside the two-bench, four-seater bay in which every table is contained. This is far from ideal.

Toilets

There is an accessible toilet but it loses two stars. One star because the red emergency cord is MUCH too short, as you can see in my photo below. It should reach all the way to the floor so that it can be pulled if anyone falls to the floor in the often precarious transfer from wheelchair to toilet and back. This really is terribly thoughtless. Another star is lost because the door opens into the toilet in such a way that it's very very difficult to both be in the toilet cubicle AND open and shut the door. There just isn't quite enough room to do this without a struggle.

Staff

Most of the staff who dealt with us were sweet and friendly and helpful, but we waited an awful long time to get a table and this delay wasn't dealt with at all well. The waiter who greeted us on arrival asked my friend, not me, whether I was able to transfer from my powerchair - he didn't talk to me at all at first - a classic "Does he take sugar?" moment. Maybe some disability-awareness training is needed at this branch.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

The food is OK but it's overpriced for what you get, and it wasn't particularly tasty. So all in all, given that fact and my gripes above, I won't be going there again.
