Venue Description

The Gibside Hotel is just 5 minutes from the A1M, situated in the centre of Whickham village, and an ideal location for business or pleasure. The village includes a beautiful park, selection of shops, individual restaurants, and local pubs, all within easy walking distance. We overlook the Metrocentre, the largest indoor shopping and leisure complex in Europe, with easy access to Newcastle city centre, and the Quayside, the hub of Newcastle Nightlife. Gateshead, Durham and the region’s main commercial centres are all within easy travelling distance.

Accessibility

Reception can be accessed from the rear of the hotel, on one level , by using the pathway outside the restaurant . We have ground floor bedrooms, with large bathrooms which are especially adapted for guests with disabilities . Reception, our Main restaurant and residents bar are all on ground floor level, and our 'Sphinx' Lounge can be accessed via our lift .

We have toilet facilities for disabled visitors on the ground floor of the hotel .
