Home to some incredible animals from all over the world, the award-winning West Midlands Safari Park offers an unforgettable adventure for all ages. Drive through four miles of Safari, where you’ll encounter majestic Indian rhinos, powerful lions, towering giraffes, playful elephants, and elusive tigers - just to name a few! As this is a self-drive Safari, you can explore at your own pace. Want a guided experience? Hop aboard a minibus tour (available at an extra charge) and let our expert guides take you on a journey through the wild. Beyond the safari, the Discovery Trail is packed with amazing experiences, including Penguin Cove, Red Panda Retreat, Marmoset Mischief, Sea Lion Shows, Twilight Cave, the Aquarium, Reptile House, and fascinating Daily Talks with our Keepers. Venture to the African Village by the lakeside, where you’ll meet a mischievous mob of meerkats and explore the walk-through Lemur Woods. Nearby, Lion Ridge offers a stunning view of our bachelor group of lions as they lounge and play. Don’t forget to stroll down to Tiger Tropics for a close-up look at the breathtaking Sumatran tigers. For a spectacular view on foot, the African Walking Trail allows you to gaze across the Safari and spot giraffes, elephants, and rhinos in their vast habitats. To ensure all visitors can enjoy an incredible day at West Midlands Safari Park, we are dedicated to enhancing accessibility throughout the Park and its fantastic attractions. We have both manual wheelchairs and a limited number of mobility scooters available to hire. They can be booked online in advance. Please read our Accessibility Statement for more details.

Toilets

Our disabled access toilets are strategically located throughout the Park, ensuring level access, lever arm taps, and handrails. Additionally, we offer adult changing facilities in the main car park area with a Changing Places-approved Adult Changing Room. The room is fitted with an adjustable changing table, WC and fixed wash basin. Unfortunately, there is no shower facility. There is an XY track system and powered hoist with a Standard 2 point spreader bar – no harnesses are provided. This facility will require a RADAR key, keys are available from the Main Reception if required, with a driving license or £5 cash left as a returnable deposit.

All staff are trained in disability awareness via the Handbook of Employment and their induction programme.

Assistance dog facilities

Assistance dog exercise facilities

Assistance dogs are welcome in pedestrianised areas, but are not permitted in certain animal habitats for safety reasons. Please ensure they are wearing an identifiable harness or jacket denoting their working status. Please note, Emotional Support Animals are not allowed access to the Park. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the Safari Drive for safety reasons and would constitute a breach of Zoo Licensing Regulations. Kennels are available a short walk from Main Reception.
