Country Park on the outskirts of the city centre of Dundee.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
The pathways around the play park are very smooth for wheelchair users to drive on however, each three play park has sand around them which would make it difficult for wheelchair users to get close. The first play park you come across does have some smooth pathways around and you are able to get on to the wooden play area in your wheelchair which you can see from the pictures below. Beside this area there is also an accessible roundabout for wheelchair user which again you can see in a picture below. During this visit I didn’t go on the grass areas as you enter Camperdown Park or go on any walks but I have on previous visits with my dog. The grass is fairly even, but it is quite difficult to get on to from the pathways. Some of the walkways are smooth, however some are in the woods and can be very challenging so I would say pick your route carefully and maybe try to stick to the main pathways as best you can.
Parking & Transport

Around the whole of Camperdown Park there’s lots of different areas to park in but the main car park is beside the play park area which is where I parked. It was a bit of a confusing car park to get around as you were only able to go enter or exit different areas and the disabled space area was the last area we got to. Maybe we could have went in an easier way. I have parked in other areas of Camperdown before and I would say the car parks nearer the grass areas are a bit more bumpy to drive on and uneven. There’s a bus stop near the entrance to Camperdown Park but I haven’t ever got the bus here so I don’t know where the buses come from within Dundee or surrounding area.
Accessible Toilets
Good
There are public toilets available near the play park, including a Changing Places toilet. I think you can get access to these 24/7, I’m not sure if they lock the standard toilets at night but if you have a RADAR key you can get access to the Changing Places toilet 24/7. A RADAR key is available at the kiosk beside the toilets or at the Wildlife Centre but these places aren’t open all the time. I'm not sure how much light there would be though if you were to visit when it was dark outside. I only looked at the Changing Places toilet so I cannot comment on any of the other ones. The Changing Places toilet is very spacious inside, with all the appropriate equipment and the host was on charge. The only issue I could see with the Changing Places toilet was that it wasn’t very clean. I’m not sure how often the toilets get checked but the actual toilet was dirty and there were a lot of dead insects. I understand that it’s a public park toilet but I feel with it sometimes being vulnerable people that are using it then the cleanliness should be better.

Additional Information
With so much play park equipment at Camperdown park I really think they could have more accessible play equipment.
