Camperdown Wildlife Centre is loved by visitors of all ages. You don't need to be young to have a great day out here - just young at heart! Located within the beautiful Camperdown Country Park, the Centre is home to over 50 species of animals, birds and reptiles, many of which are threatened or endangered in the wild. Highlights include Wolves, Snowy Owls, Ring-tailed Lemurs, Hyacinth Macaws, Meerkats and European Brown Bears. Don't miss the fabulous Bear Broch Visitor Centre - a custom-made replica of an ancient Scottish stone dwelling, the only building type likely to have existed when bears last roamed wild in Scotland. Recent arrivals at Camperdown include the playful Meerkats and 8 year-old Hyacinth Macaws, Ben and Minnie, the largest members of the parrot family. They're classed as a vulnerable species and the Wildlife Centre is very honoured to have them on display! Camperdown Wildlife Centre hosts various events throughout the year, which are both educational and fun. Events include Easter Fun Day, Zoofest and Conservation Days. A festive favourite is the 'Meet Santa' event, where visitors can post their letter to Santa in his grotto, and enjoy a mince pie or two!

A bumpy ride! Kids had fun

We drove to Camperdown, it was extremely busy as it was the school holidays but we found blue badge spaces which weren’t far from the entrance to the wildlife park. The doors to get in are all automatic. You go through the visitor centre to get to the zoo, this is modern and easy to get around. It was only £6.50 for an adult and the carer was free. This was quick and easy. The toilets are easy to find and well marked, however the disabled toilet is also the baby changing unit so it was busy and there wasnt a radar key entry so I saw kids just going in and out of there. The toilet was a reasonable size but not big enough for me to turn around in my powerchair, not to line up next to the toilet, so I needed someone to mind the door and open it for me when I needed out as well. The support rails look a bit old and rusty. The toilet was wet and needed cleaned before I could use it. There are also toilets outside just as you leave the visitor centre but the disabled access one did not look accessible due to a tight turn. I could access most areas of the park, however I was surprised and how bad the ground was. I found it extremely bumpy and uneven. I was able to see everything though, and the bears were definitely the highlight! I wouldn’t go back just due to the discomfort of the ground being so uneven and bumpy

    Bumpy ride

The zoo is accessible but the paths around it are uneven and bumpy. Found it a bit difficult to self propell and had to ask a friend to help.
