Enstone Road, Charlbury, OX7 3PQ, United Kingdom | 01608 811878 | Website

Venue Description

Charlbury Community Centre consists of a large sports hall, the town’s public library, a community room (called the Thomas Gifford Room in honour of the man who first set up the charity which owns and runs the centre) and a community café. There is free WiFi throughout the building, PCs and a photocopier can be used in the library during its opening hours. Lockers are available to store your valuables and the building caters for disabled persons including wheelchair accessible shower and toilet facilities. Group shower and changing facilities are available in the adjoining pavilion. They need to be booked in advance and incur a small extra charge to cover water heating and cleaning. The Community Centre adjoins Nine Acres playing field, which has outdoor sporting facilities such as football and rugby pitches, outdoor tennis courts (which can be booked through our website) and a children’s play area. Please use the quick links to find out more about each room or area and the activities available there.

Accessibility

Our entrance is fitted with push pad buttons for easy access in and out of the building. The doors to our terrace are currently functioning as push and pull doors. To access the park, there is a pavement to the left hand side of the steps that also takes the user round to the Sports and Social Club.

Toilets

Our disabled access toilet has step free access (the entirety of the centre is situated on ground floor level). The toilet is fitted with easy turn lock taps and there are guard rails for ease of movement (located next to the shower and the toilet itself). Doors are wide enough for easy access in and out of the toilet as well.
