Overview

This is the model that should be in place around the UK for disabled access holidays, we stayed a week in October and it was our 3rd holiday here in the last 5 years. On the border of the Balmoral Estate this fabulous complex sits on the banks of the River Dee. The disabled access rooms are all fitted with ceiling hoists and hospital type beds, the toilets include purpose built shower room and a clos o mat toilet, they have tried to think of everything. Maggie is great and makes sure all the guests are well looked after.

Transport & Parking

Parking is at the front of the cottages which also have security gates.

Access

Access fantastic in and around the cottages is great, there is even a fantastic walk about 1.5 miles outside the courtyard over the Rive Dee past the main gates to Balmoral castle. We just love this place.

Toilets

We have stayed at Clunie and Girnock cottages there are 2 toilets with a fully functional disabled access toilet with Cols o Mat and wheelchair access showers.

Staff

Maggie and her team are great.

This is a charity and they are always fundraising the whole team who are involved are great and should be congratulated. Places like Crathie are needed all over the UK
