Overview

My previous two visits of Cutty Sark had occurred when she wasn't suspended as she is now.

Transport & Parking

3

There is very little parking near the venue, any parking that does exist is at the top of the park which is a good distance away. DLR station (Cutty Sark for Maritime Greenwich) isn't far away, if you use the lift come out and turn right, if you use the escalator come out and turn left. The boat service is close by too, now sponsored by Uber but back when I went it was sponsored by MBNA.

Access

3.5

The vessel now sits atop a glass dome, there is a lift inside the vessel so each level is accessible but the lift is small and the space to get to the lift needs some nifty manoeuvrability to get to. It isn't possible to see everything on the main deck if you're a wheelchair user as there is no lift and the stairs are steep. Didn't notice too much signage but the staff are helpful.

Toilets

4

The accessible toilets are located under the vessel, there are signs and again the staff were helpful. Not masses of space within the toilet, I think powerchair users might struggle.

Staff

4

The staff move around the vessel helping if they are approached. For the most part my interactions with them was positive.

Photos

The top deck of Cutty Sark showing accommodation for crew that isn't accessible to people with mobility issues. A picture taken by my partner of me from the deck that the ships wheel is set. Again it isn't accessible if you're a wheelchair user. Side of the ship showing the vessels elevated position. Another image of the vessel in it's elevated position.
