Lovely hotel but staff need training

Had a fabulous stay with the Doubletree by Hilton however when myself and my mother went downstairs to the lounge for something to eat the staff were very rushed off their feet despite the lounge being pretty quiet. I attempted to approach the bar to ask if I could order but was ignored numerous times in favour of taking other people's orders who came to the bar after me. Eventually my able-bodied mother came up to the bar and was immediately addressed and the bar man took her order no problem and even moved us to a proper table at the other side of the lounge! Seems like training may be needed here.
