Venue Description

Our Education and Conference Centre at Arthur Rank Hospice is located on the outskirts of Cambridge. The accessible Conference Suite on the first floor has its own reception area and is available to hire for your meeting, lecture, small conference or training event for 10-80 persons. Our Venue Hire Team will assist with your venue hire requirements and welcome your guests. We offer day delegate and room hire packages and all catering is freshly prepared by our Hospitality and Bistro Team and served to the Conference Centre.

Accessibility

Open to All - Accessibility at our Education and Conference Centre The Education and Conference Centre is accessible by public transport using the Babraham Road Park and Ride bus. There is a paved path to the hospice from the P&R which is sign posted. We have limited car parking at the Hospice which is reserved for patients and families as well as designated spaces for Blue Badge holders or visitors who require mobility assistance. Our Venue Hire Team will be pleased to assist you during your visit. On arrival at the main hospice entrance please enter through the automatic door. The Education and Conference Centre is on the first floor accessible by the stairs or the lift. Facilities at the Education and Conference Centre • The Education and Conference Centre is on the first floor and is all on one level with wide doors to the meeting room(s) for wheelchair accessibility, with plenty of natural daylight and there is a larger projector screen in Rooms 1-2 or in the full Conference Room. • A microphone is available for Event Organisers using the full Conference Room and there are three portable microphones available for visitors who require hearing assistance that can be used with a hearing aid. • There are six gender neutral toilets including one larger toilet that is accessible for wheelchairs/powerchairs with grab rails and emergency alarm. There is also a fully accessible toilet on the ground floor near the Bistro. • We welcome assistance dogs and water bowls can be provided and there is access to the courtyard garden from the Bistro for exercise. • Dietary requirements can be catered for, please notify your Event Organiser in advance. Our Bistro is open to the public from 9am-4pm and is located on the ground floor.
