No welcome for wheelchair users here - zero stars

Overview

Zero stars for accessibility. There is a big step up into the shop. There is no wheelchair ramp. I was not able to get into the shop. The staff don't give a toss. I first wrote this review in August 2017. Eight months later, April 2018, still no ramp, still no possibility of a wheelchair user getting into their shop, despite an apology in August 2017 and a promise to sort things out. Disgraceful.

Transport & Parking

The nearest step-free station is Tottenham Court Road, and several buses will drop you off at nearby Cambridge Circus. I wouldn't dream of trying to park in Soho, though there is a car park in Brewer Street, just a couple of blocks away.

Access

Zero stars. A big step at the entrance, no wheelchair ramp available. I was not able to get into the shop. See my pictures below.

Toilets

As I didn't get into the shop, I was not able to discover whether it has an accessible toilet.

Zero stars again. August 2017: I sat outside the shop waving and gesticulating at the staff, they ignored me. I called out 'can you help me?' and a cocky young man came over. I asked if they had a wheelchair ramp. No. And he didn't care at all - he didn't offer any expression of regret or apology, and he said that they don't own the building. I pointed out that it wasn't a building issue, all they need is a portable wheelchair ramp. I was not impressed with his flippant, off-hand, downright contemptuous attitude. April 2018: I sat outside the shop and gesticulated. A member of staff spotted me and ignored me for a while. I waited with persistence. Finally he came over. No, no wheelchair ramp. He didn't seem all that concerned, I asked him to talk to the manager about getting a ramp. I did not get the feeling he was that interested in talking to the manager about it.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Really shocking that eight months after seeing this review and apologising to me, this shop STILL hasn't bothered to get a wheelchair ramp.
