Overview
Freedom Wizard are a charity who enable people with disability to experience the joy of reaching selected Lake District mountain summits. I thoroughly enjoyed my mountain adventure in their Boomer. Based in Braithwaite near Keswick, they currently escort people up Latrigg, Sale Fell and Binsey.
Transport & Parking
We were given clear directions to meet at a lay by .
Access
Went straight from the car to the Boomer wheelchair
Toilets
No loo, clients would need to use loo elsewhere before setting out.
Staff
Very helpful , highly motivated to enable clients to regain access to the fells
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I was warned that customers had burst into tears when they reached the summit. It happened to me, I was suddenly overcome with emotion!
