Guildford Cathedral

Stag Hill, Guildford, GU2 7UP, United Kingdom | 01483547860 | Website

Venue Description

From its commanding hilltop position, Guildford Cathedral is an imposing landmark. It is one of England’s youngest cathedrals and was designed by Sir Edward Maufe. Beneath the golden angel which tops the tower is a graceful interior of elegance, light and peace. You can find out more about the Cathedral’s story from their guides, who offer a warm welcome, or just enjoy the tranquillity and space for contemplation.

Go to this stunning cathedral and appreciate a remarkable place of worship, brought to life most weekdays at 17:30 with the unique and uplifting experience of Choral Evensong. Regular events, art exhibitions and schools workshops are held in the Cathedral. The Cathedral can also be made available for private events. Additional facilities include a gift shop and modern restaurant, a large car park and coach park and full facilities for disabled visitors.

Accessibility

The Cathedral's main entrance has both steps and slope access with wide doors. Once inside the building, most areas are either on one level or accessible via ramps (the exceptions to this are the Lady Chapel and Children's Chapel, which are accessible only by some small steps). The Refectory (restaurant) and Shop have both step and ramp access.
