Overview
Before booking I contacted the hotel to make sure that there was disabled access/facilities and was assured that it would be a yes. Booked the hotel and arrived, it's comfy and cosy very near London so your no more than 20 mins away from the train station to get you in - providing you are fully mobile - the nearest accessible station is Stratford undergound and that is an hour on the bus to get to. The corridor to access the room was wide enough however the door frames weren't so not ideal if you have a 'thicker' chair, in order to get your chair inside the door to the room you have no option but to ask your carer/friend/partner/parent to get you off and put you on the bed while they have to collapse the chair and leave it folded inside the bedroom (there's barely enough space to swing a cat). The bathroom is advertised as a wetroom however this is most certainly not the case - you have a steep 'walk in' shower with no emergency cords and NO seat, no grab rails and very slippery.
Transport & Parking
There's disabled parking at the hotel, fee for £5 per day you stay. Train isn't accessible - nearest one is Stratford Underground which is accessible by the bus at the top of the road and is an hour from the hotel. So it gets a 2 from me, who in their right minds wants to get up an extra hour earlier just to make sure that they can get the bus.
Access
The corridor entry door that leads to the 'accessible rooms' and the doors for the rooms themselves could use widening.
Toilets
For an accessible room there are no grab rails, no emergency cords and the shower facilities at a 45degree angle which have no support when wet and no shower seat or grab rails in the shower leave a lot to be desired.
Staff
Most of the staff are friendly and very accommodating.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
I wouldn't really recommend here for accessibility as I found it extremely difficult access wise.
