Overview
Konditor is a small chain of cafes, specialise in cakes and offer a café and take away service. "Konditor" is the German word for confectioner or pastry chef. We visited their Goodge Street branch. for me with my crutch access was do-able.
Transport & Parking
The nearest tube station is Goodge Street, which is not step free. The nearest accessible tube station is Tottenham Court Road. There are several buses that stop very close by.
Access
The café has some step free, free standing outdoor tables and chairs with back support. There is a single step into the shop. There are three cake counters. Two have glass sides, the other is open and it is easy to view the cakes. At the rear there is a small indoor seating area. This consists of 2 tables with stools with no back support or arms. There is also a long high bench with bar stools, again with no back support or arms. I have lower back pain and it was ok for me for a short visit.
Toilets
There is no public toilet in the café.
Staff
You order your cake at the counter and it is served to you at your table. The waiter was very welcoming, helpful and service was quick.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
The cakes both look and taste amazing and can highly recommend them. Personally I found the café area ok for a short stop only, due to the stools and no accessible toilet. In the warmer weather it would be really nice to sit outside, so I would come back.
