Excellent

Easily accessible building & facilities. Although the concert area is all standing, as I had pre-booked my visit with them, space was made available for my wheelchair, with a seat for my son, at the side of the stage!! All of the staff, and in particular, the show's security staff, pulled out all the stops to make my night, a night to remember!!!

Disabled Access In and Around

Excellent

There are 3 concert rooms within the easily accessed building, and a lift to all floors. I was in the basement auditorium which had a ramped walkway to bar area, & disabled toilets. There's also a disabled toilet next to the box office information desk in main foyer. No problems at all!!

Parking & Transport

Excellent

Driving from Liverpool was so easy, and the car park for the venue is located literally just around the corner!! The car park has 4 designated disabled bays, and the barrier opens with a fee of just £2.00 !! Being situated on busy Oxford Road, there's also a bus stop right outside too! There's also an Oxford Rd train station a 10 minute walk away which is accessible from the main Victoria station.

Accessible Toilets

Excellent

Clean & tidy accessible toilets that had fold up grab rails are available on all levels. The actual toilet pan is of standard height, not raised. Plenty of room for wheelchair and/or assistant.

Staff

Excellent

All of the staff were kind & helpful and made sure that all of my needs were met without any problems at all. The show's security guys took me to the lift, (which was big enough for my large wheelchair and my son) and met us downstairs, where they made sure we were seated comfortably in our designated area.

Additional Information

I would highly recommend a visit to Manchester Academy's concert venues. The easy access and helpful staff all played a big part in making my visit a fantastic experience....I'll definately be going again.....soon!!
