Overall Rating
Excellent
Ole and Steen is a small chain of Danish bakeries. The offer a selection of sandwiches, cake and pastries as well as hot and cold drinks. Quality of food is excellent. Venue is step free with accessible toilet.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
Entire cafe is step free and located on the ground floor. Double entrance, manual glass doors. From entrance you come into a counter area. Counter is cordoned off. Counters are at standing height. Seating in this area is high bar type stools. This leads into a larger seating area with about 5 free standing tables and dining chairs.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
The nearest tube station is Tottenham Court Road which has step free access to and between all platforms. Also buses stop close by. Travelling south Stephen Street stop on Tottenham Court Road is almost immediately outside the cafe.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
There is a push button code on a manual door leading into the accessible toilet. You can get the code from staff at the counter. I did not use the toilet but my friend did and she took a photo. There were plenty of grab rails, but no toilet paper and the toilet roll holder block access to the grab rail underneath it, see photo.
Staff
Excellent
Staff were very helpful. When I asked they carried my drink to my table. They were very friendly and pleasant.
Additional Information
This is a lovely small chain of cafes. Food is delicious and of exceptional quality. Highly recommend the vanilla Festive bun which we both had, only available in the pre-lent period. Utterly delicious. We had a great time, and very happily would return.
