On The Waterfront

Venue Description

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, we are one of Exeter’s most popular places to eat. We are proud to serve only top quality, locally sourced food in our restaurant. We are also a Cask Marque accredited pub, which means you can be certain of a good pint of local ale as well as a selection of more widely known beers and lagers. We are family friendly and boast a dining area for parties of up to 100 guests. Our heated terrace is perfectly located on Exeter’s picturesque quayside and is the ideal place to watch the world go by whether you are eating or drinking.

Accessibility

In January 2019 we refurbished our terrace in full, while doing this we had a dropped curb put in to make the building much more accessible. The rest of the building is flat throughout, and we have modern and recently refurbished disabled toilet access too. The Quayside is covered in cobblestones which may cause some difficulties for those in wheelchairs, though the path closest to the river is smoother and means there is a much shorter bumpy ride over the cobbles to reach our ramp.

Awards List

We are a cask marque accredited pub, and part of Exeter's Best Bar None scheme having won their Best Food Venue award 2018. We also won a Gold Taste of the West award in Casual Dining 2018, and a Silver-Gilt Free From Food Award 2018. We were shortlisted for the Exeter Living Awards 2019 too.

Toilets

Access to the toilets is completely flat, and these were refurbished in the early part of 2017. There is a hand rail and lots of space available.

Staff

Our staff are friendly, keen, and always willing to help. Please ask if you experience any difficulties and we will do our best to help.

Assistance dog facilities

Assistance dog exercise facilities

The Quayside is a popular destination for dog-walkers, and the nearest green space is a 5 minute stroll down the river.

Other assistance dog facilities

Assistance dogs are allowed in both our bar and restaurant rooms. If they're allowed we sometimes have treats available too (though these will never be given without the express permission of the owner)!
