Phoenix Cinema and Art Centre

4 Midland Street, Leicester, LE1 1TG, United Kingdom | 0116 2422800 | Website

Venue Description

Phoenix is Leicester’s centre for independent cinema, art and digital culture. In our two comfortable cinema screens we show a varied programme of world cinema, and we regularly organise festivals and events. Our regularly changing art programme presents work by local and international artists, and our education work helps people of all ages to learn about, and create their own, film and art. If you fancy a drink, dinner or somewhere to meet friends, our Café Bar is open all day serving freshly-cooked food, and drinks you can take into our cinema screen if you wish. For many customers, our staff make the difference. With a clear passion for our work, you’ll find many are studying film or art locally, or involved in the wider creative community Phoenix attracts. As a local charity, all our earnings go back into developing our creative programmes, enabling us to reach out to more people.

Accessibility

Wheelchair spaces are available in both our cinema screens: three in Screen 1 and two in Screen 2. Please call the Box Office prior to booking if you require a wheelchair space or other accessible seating. The foyer, Box Office, Café Bar and screen entrances are all on a flat level on the ground floor. Lift access is available to the first floor meeting rooms.
