The writer and comedian introduces his memoir about growing up, growing old and figuring it all out, the anticipated follow-up to his bestselling Ramble Book.

In I Love You, Byeee, Buxton explores the joys of comedy, and the book is cut through with many of his hilarious trademark asides, but it’s also remarkably tender and thoughtful.

It’s a memoir that doesn’t shy away from the difficulties of navigating adulthood, losing loved ones and working out how to be a parent.

Buxton also talks about his new album Buckle Up, a collection of 14 songs about everything from whether a middle-aged man should be wearing shorts, to accepting who and what you are.

With his ear for amusing instrumentation, as evidenced by decades of jingles for his shows, the songs are about more than they seem to be.

Described by Jonny Greenwood as being able to occupy the ‘uncanny valley between funny and sincere’, songs like ‘Pizza Time’ and the classic fan-favourite ‘Have You Seen My Phonecharger’, bring the light hilarity, whereas tracks like ‘Skip This Track’ explore how songs can evoke old feelings and emotions from long ago.
