Staveley Nature Reserve

Minskip Road, Knaresborough, HG5 9LQ, United Kingdom | Website

Venue Description

A year-round wild refuge with an industrial past, Staveley offers wildlife a large space and variety of habitats to move around. Wonder at the incredible number of birds that it plays host to, including enormous numbers of geese and lapwings, and awesome starling murmurations in the colder months. It’s easy to get to too– just ten minutes’ drive from the A1M. Managed by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, the reserves has good accessibility for wheelchair users and pushchairs, three fully accessible hides and an accessible car park on site.

Accessibility

There is a large network of surfaced paths suitable for wheelchair users and pushchairs, and large parts of the reserve are entirely flat. Access to the disabled car park is via radar key from the track next to the church on Main Street. Three of the hides on reserve are fully accessible.
