The UK'S largest tropical butterfly paradise. Rain or shine, discover some of the world's most beautiful butterflies in an exotic rainforest environment of tropical blossom with splashing waterfalls and fish-filled ponds. Find out all about the Maya, an ancient rainforest civilisation, whose artefact's have been replicated and are on display throughout the Butterfly Farm. Take a look inside the Emerging Case and watch in wonder as butterflies hatch from their pupae. Marvel at our amazing leafcutter ants in the Minibeast Metropolis and get close to some of the world's largest spiders! Browse in the nature inspired Gift Shop packed full of gifts and confectionary for all the family. The Butterfly Farm is fully accessible with flat level pathways throughout.

Accessibility

Flat level entrance, double doors, not automatic but staff are on hand to help open doors. Wide, flat level self guiding pathway inside the Butterfly Farm. The gift shop is accessible to wheelchairs. New for 2017 onsite toilet facilities including disabled.

Customers visiting the Butterfly Farm have the use of onsite toilets accessed from the Discovery Zone, including disabled and baby changing facilities. There are more toilet facilities across the road from our entrance gates in the Pay and Display car park.

Assist dogs can be exercised off there leads on the Recreation Ground opposite the Butterfly Farm.

Other assistance dog facilities

Assist dogs are welcome, however they cannot enter the flight area due to it being an unsuitable environment for them. If visiting with an Assist Dog please call ahead so a member of staff can be made available to supervise your Guide Dog and offer further assistance. Water bowl available in the wildflower garden.
