Venue Description

We bought this Victorian gentleman's residence with an attached `Museum' in 2012 and have renovated it to a high (Visit England 4*Silver) standard. We have National Accessibility Scheme rates of V1 and H2 within the house as the bedrooms are upstairs. The house has a double bedroom and a twin/super-king one, both with en-suites, and both are up 20 shallow stairs with a landing ¾ way up. The Museum, now Holly Lodge, is a fully accessible self-catering Lodge that sleeps 7. (Visit England 4*Gold) standard. With National Accessibility Scheme rates of V1, H2 and M2 accommodation is a twin/super-king bedroom downstairs with a separate wet-room. There is a lounge/diner with an extendable table next to the accessible kitchen. Upstairs is a double room with King size bed; a triple room with 3 3' single beds, and a shower room. The level entrance is to the rear of the cottage from your own patio. There are 3 acres of grounds shared with the B&B

Accessibility

Holly Lodge has level paved access from the parking area to the back door. There are 2 steps at the front door. It has been specifically designed for wheelchair users/ less mobile and visually & hearing impaired guests. Doors downstairs are min. 860mm; all taps are Tactimarked; all stair rails have Bumpons; Grab bars are positioned as required by NAS & we have a portable spare; outside there is charging for Mobility Scooter and PIR lights around the Lodge. We have vibrating & flashing emergency lights linked the smoke alarm. The kitchen has an adjustable height hob, sink & worktop unit. The downstairs wetroom has both a shower and bath. Toilets

The toilet is within the specially designed wet-room in the lodge and has a seat riser available. In the B&B within the ensuite.
