The Miggi is a vegan, book-themed, LGBT+ friendly, dogs welcome guesthouse 100m from the beach at Preston Sands, Torbay. The Miggi has a spacious ground-floor suite with a wheelchair-accessible wet-room style ensuite, double bed, and seating area with comfy riser-recliner. There's disabled parking, an access ramp, space to park and charge a mobility scooter. Toilets

There is an accessible toilet available to all visitors in the porch of the property. It has a wide doorway, grad-rails, high toilet and space to manoevre.

Staff

The Miggi's owners run the guesthouse and live on-site. Naomi set up the guesthouse after working several years in the charity sector and working for Caroline Lucas, the Green MP. Her father is disabled, using a walker and wheelchair to get around inside and a mobility scooter outside, so she was very aware how difficult it can be to find genuinely accessible accommodation for holidays. The Miggi has been running for 2 seasons now and has rave reviews from guests, including many repeat customers with disabilities who love the ground-floor room.

Dogs are allowed year-round on the green area by the beach (approx. 100m from The Miggi), and on the beach from October to May.

Other assistance dog facilities

Water bowls and treats are provided to welcome canine friends. There are dog towels by the front door for drying wet paws after walks. The Miggi has a list of dog-friendly attractions, cafes, and so on. Dog-sitting can be arranged.
