Venue Description

The Pierhead is a unique visitor, events and conerence venue for the people of Wales; a space to express opinions and give voice to issues that matter to you as individuals, communities or organisation. Vissitors can enjoy visual displays that document the shifting landscape in Cardiff Bay over the past century, through which the Pierhead has remained a constant feature.

Accessibility

We are accessible by public transport and have disabled car parking, for more information visit our ‘How to get to us’ webpage by visiting here: http://www.assembly.wales/en/visiting/Pages/Visitors-autism.aspx We have lifts which make our building fully accessible. A limited number of wheelchairs are available to loan to members of the public for the duration of their visit. Our building is well signposted, our signs include a brail transcript. We have loop system in the main public areas, as well as portable loop system.

We have a wheelchair accessible toilet with left hand transfer.

Staff

The Pierhead is managed by a small security team and a member of our visitor services team. Many of our staff are first aid trained and have received disability, deaf and autism awareness training. Staff are ready and willing to assist in any way possible.
