The UK’s Best Attraction, as judged by Which? readers and Tripadvisor's Travellers' Choice Best of the Best 2020 award winner, The Royal Yacht Britannia was home to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family for over 40 years, sailing one million miles around the world. Berthed in Edinburgh's historic Port of Leith, Britannia is now a five-star visitor attraction and exclusive use evening events venue. Visit this October holidays to discover the ship described by Her Majesty as the ‘one place I can truly relax.’

The Royal Yacht Britannia has attained VisitScotland's 'We're Good To Go' certificate, fully adhering to all the published guidelines. All aboard is ship shape with enhanced safety measures in place. There are five main decks to explore with a fascinating audio guide included telling stories of life at sea in both an adult and children’s version. British Sign Language tablets and Braille scripts are available with each deck highly accessible for buggies and wheelchairs.

Follow in the footsteps of Royalty in the State Apartments where the Royal Family enjoyed holidays, honeymoons and entertained foreign dignitaries and celebrities from Frank Sinatra to President Nelson Mandela.

Head down to the lower decks to see where 220 Royal Yachtsmen lived, worked and slept. Take in the onboard hospital and a tour highlight, the gleaming Engine Room. Remember to spot the cuddy corgis hiding in the Cuddly Corgi Treasure Hunt!

Enjoy stunning waterfront views from the Royal Deck Tea Room to sample delicious cakes, scones, soups and sandwiches.

Tickets to visit the Royal Yacht can be purchased on the Britannia website with limited availability on the day from the Reception desk on the second floor of Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre.
