The Tower Of London is a Royal Palace and Fortress that stands on the banks of the river Thames. Founded in 1066 by William the Conqueror, it has served as a palace, prison, royal mint, menagerie, armoury and treasury for hundreds of years. Today the Tower is home to the Crown Jewels, the Yeomen Warders and an unkindness of ravens that protect the fortress through folklore and legend. The Tower also serves as a popular visitor and tourist attraction. The Tower of London is cared for by Historic Royal Palaces on behalf of the Crown Estate. We offer periodic relaxed openings of The Tower of London. These are a new development and are in the piloting stage.

Toilets
Toilets are available at the following locations: Brick Tower, behind the Jewel House (male, female, accessible toilets and baby changing facilities) Salt Tower (male toilets) Cradle Tower (female and accessible toilets) Changing Places toilet: A Changing Places toilet is available on the ground floor lobby of the New Armouries building, next to the café. Access to the toilet is via radar key, which can be obtained from café staff, to be returned after use.
Staff
Historic Royal Palaces staff are trained in disability and neurodiversity awareness. We are increasing our training as members of the Sunflower Lanyard.
Assistance dog facilities
Assistance dog exercise facilities
Trained assistance dogs are welcome inside the Tower. This includes medical alert dogs. We are happy to provide water on request. Unfortunately, due to conservation concern and the nature of items on display, we do not allow emotional support animals to enter the palace at this time.
Other assistance dog facilities
We do not have a toilet area for dogs on site but are happy to provide water on request.
