Venue Description

Urchinwood Manor is set in over 100 acres of pasture and was started back in 1979 and continues as an approved Riding and Event Centre by the British Horse Society. Urchinwood offers excellent facilities having two arenas, one outdoors and one indoors. We hold the Accessibility Mark Centre approval, which specialise in disabled riders, encouraging all rides to reach their full potential and allowing riders to enjoy being with horses in a safe place.

Accessibility

There is a step into our canteen/viewing area. The doorway is standard width. Riders do not have to enter this area if this is a problem, they can be met on the yard and helped onto their horse.

There are male and female toilets available with standard width doors.

Our Staff are trained annually for their Accessbility Mark approval and work with various disabilities, covering physical and mental disabilities.

We are surrounded by over 100 acres. There is always an area that can be found without sheep or horses for dogs to be walked/exercised.

There are water bowls in the canteen area for the animals that live on site which are open for anyone to use.
