Wakefield Exchange is a large venue in the heart of Wakefield, offering free and affordable cultural activities for people of all ages. From large scale art installations, to intimate gigs, to free wellbeing activities, the space hosts a huge variety of events. WX also has onsite food vendors, and a coffee shop and a bar.Accessibility
WX is a fully accessible venue featuring: Double width automatic doors to the side - step free (under the Canopy) Ramp to front entrance on Union Street Lift to mezzanine level Changing Places toilet Hearing aid loops When large exhibitions take place, we also offer British Sign Language and Audio Described tours of the exhibit. Assistance, guide, and well behaved dogs are welcome throughout the venue.

Accessible Performances
During major exhibitions and installations, relaxed sessions are part of our programme. In these sessions, our lights are made neutral, with increased visibility, and any audio or music is turned down low.

Our verified changing places toilet has a wide entry door, and is spacious inside. There are grab rails available, as well as an emergency cord.
