Disabled Access Day 2017

Disabled Access Day 2017 article image

Westfield London is proudly supporting Disabled Access Day and offering Blue Badge holders four hours free parking during 10th-12th March 2017*. To qualify for this one-time promotional weekend offer, simply present your Blue Badge and parking ticket to staff at the Shopmobility desk located within Lift Lobby 2 (Middle Car Park). The parking ticket will then be validated. Blue Badge holders must be present and any additional parking charges will need to be paid at the nearest parking payment machine. Please note: Parking tickets can only be validated at our Shopmobility desk and during normal opening hours. Parking charges outside of these hours will incur the normal parking charge. Westfield is also giving away limited free copies of ‘Access in London’ books at their Shopmobility desk – just ask a member of the team for your free copy. Access in London is a well established, well researched and well presented guide. Nearly all of the information is collected by visit, and reflects the experiences of disabled people who want to get around. Westfield London offers free wheelchair or motorised scooter hire – just head to its Shopmobility desk located on Level -2, Lift Lobby 2. Manual wheelchairs and motorised scooters are available on the day to hire, on a first come first served basis. To rent a mobility vehicle, you will need proof of identification, which should be either a valid passport or two of the following: valid driver's license, valid ID card, credit card, pension card or health care card. You'll also be asked to fill out a hire agreement form and leave a refundable £10 deposit. Once that's done, you're ready to go. The whole process takes less than 15 minutes (including training on how to use the vehicle if it's your first time).
