Venue Description

Appletree is a modern, purpose-built, family-run, luxury, self-catering lodge for up to eight people. Specially built for the self catering market in 2016 the cottage has four comfortable fully en-suite double bedrooms. A spacious open plan lounge, dining area, breakfast bar and fully equipped kitchen provides ample space for friends and family get-togethers. Huge picture windows provide panoramic views across the beautiful countryside at the southern end of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park A large sliding glass door opens onto a private south facing patio. The living area, porch, patio, downstairs bedroom and its ensuite bathroom are all on the same level with no step. There are grab handles in the bathroom and room for wheelchair turning. This cosy eco cottage, full of natural light boasts biomass powered hot water and underfloor heating. There is a cheerful wood burning stove for the winter months. Outside there's a spacious private garden surrounding the holiday cottage, perfect for children and grown-ups to play. There is ample parking for four cars. Appletree Luxury Self Catering Cottage is loved by guests from all over the world who relish the peaceful, relaxing living and beautiful countryside views of this rural and stylishly spacious retreat which is convenient for Stirling, Glasgow & exploring Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

Accessibility

A car can park adjacent to the gently sloping ramp to the front door. The front door (and all doors in the property) are 815mm/ 32 inches wide except the door to the patio which is 6 feet wide. There is a 2cm inch high lip at the front door Once in the front door the downstairs bedroom, its en-suite bathroom, the open plan living area (kitchen, dining and living room spaces) and the outside patio are all on the one level with no steps. The downstairs bedroom can be made up with twin beds or a super-king double bed. There is ample room to turn a wheelchair in the downstairs bedroom, its en-suite bathroom, the open plan living area and the patio. In the downstairs en-suite bathroom there is a wc with space beside it for a wheelchair and a grab rail on the wall. Toilets

There is step free access into the downstairs en-suite bathroom. There is room for a wheelchair adjacent to the toilet and a grab rail secured to the wall. There are no trained staff on site. The owners live in the farmhouse next door but are not always there.
