Living with Drones is an interactive live journalism show about the devastating and traumatic impacts of Israel’s use of drones in the besieged Gaza strip. By tying together personal narratives and documentation about the on-the-ground reality of this genocide, this show weaves a compelling narrative that asks audiences to engage with violations of humanitarian and international law in Gaza since October 2023.
Employing the war diary narrative, the show takes audiences into the day-to-day experiences of life in Gaza while drawing parallels between previous wars and the continued assault on Gaza today. Living with Drones asks audiences to consider their role as citizens of the world, offering opportunities for collaboration and engagement through a curated series of calls to action.
This show is possible through the support of many organizations and individuals including the Palestinian Scholars and Students at Risk network (PSSAR); Toronto Metropolitan University’s Creative School; the Journalism Research Centre at TMU; The Muslim Fund; The Studio for Media Activism & Critical Thought (SMACT) and stitched!
